and now it’s about to change again.

And this is when I started sobbing…because all of Beckett’s fears afters Meredith’s speech about Castle’s walls were unfounded. Here he is, letting her into the most intimate, most sacred part of his life. He’s not afraid to show her his deepest self now, the self he keeps hidden from the rest of the world—both the depths of his love and, sadly, the depths of his darkness. 

And Beckett sits there with a soft, half-sad smile, like Castle has worn so many times before while listening to her share her truest self with him. It’s his turn to share now; it’s her turn to listen. And that’s going to make her “I love you”—when it comes—even more beautiful.
